Well...let me get the update out of the way first. Ahem. I am STILL collecting unemployment. Why? Because it seems I'm either too smart or not smart enough to get hired these days. I'm about to just throw myself into school, and get into a work study program. My mother and I argue, but it's not as heated as it when it first started two months ago. Instead, it's more of a flat out discussion with an eventual agreement...which I prefer to arguing, because she's a Leo and Leos won't quit until they hear that they're right.

All the talk about the election has me slightly irritated. I had a whole post typed up earlier about voting Third Party and an analogy to go with it. But...I'm cutting it all short, because I'm sleepy and it's late. Ahem. I didn't vote for Kerry OR Bush. I felt that NEITHER was a capable candidate(Bush was NEVER capable in my opinion) for President. So, I voted Third Party. Not because I wanted to be different, but because I wanted to utilize the alternate choices on my ballot to make a point AND save my vote from being throw away. There are other choices on the ballot, regardless what goes on publically. It sounded like a lot of people forced themselves to vote either or, when they didn't have to do that at all. While Third Party candidates usually don't get elected, they ARE there on the ballot to choose from. Do your homework on these people, and vote for them when the primaries don't suite your personal preferences.

A lot of people who could have made a great difference in the result of the election, didn't even vote AT ALL! OVER 80% of a whole population did not, did NOT, DID NOT register to vote. Yet these were the people--and these are STILL the people--complaining about the outcome of the election. Even those few who did vote for either candidate are complaining. When I say complain, I mean pure animosity. A friend of mine put it this way: if you can vote and don't, then SHUT THE FUCK UP. There's no excuse at all for not voting for what you want. I'm collecting unemployment checks. I STILL voted. There's no excuse at all.

I put it THIS way: if you're going to vote and complain about who you voted for--regardless of the results--either vote for someone else the next time around or JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP.

Either way you look at it, complaining solves absolutely nothing; vote or no vote. Instead of complaining, find a way to make the asshole in charge work in your favor. Given time and work, things will change. Sitting down and bitching about it won't change a damn thing.

And if things still don't work out, jump on my bandwagon and let's leave the country forever! I'm making plans to hit Italy, Greece, and Spain first. Who wants to come with?? Raise your hands!

On a serious note, I'm alright. Still searching for a job, and maintaining my sanity somehow.
